Sociable, Loyal, Even Tempered
The Siberian is a medium-large cat with the overall excellent physical condition, with an average 10-18 year life expectancy.They mature very slowly, reaching full physical development at 4-5 years of age. They are large powerful cat with strength, power and alertness. They have fluffy fur, trapezoidal muzzle, strong round paws. Eye color varies from gold to green and all shades in-between. They also come in color-points and these will have blue eyes. They have a very dense, water resistant triple coat, which is medium to long in length. They have a full dense coat in the winter while the summer coat is somewhat shorter and less dense. The hair is shorter on the shoulders. There is a ruff at the neck, full fluffy britches and a bushy fine pubescent tail that is carried up with pride.

Affectionate, Intelligent Companions
Every individual cat has their own unique personality, as we do. The Siberian breed is known, as a very devoted, friendly, personable and outgoing breed. They have an extraordinary mind and are even tempered with a wonderful character. They thrive on company and affection especially that of their humans. Siberians have many dog like traits, as they like to stay close to their owners,learn tricks and play time.They will meet you at the door when you come home and explain their day to you. They are a quiet breed that has melodic ways of expressing themselves using sweet meows, and lots of purring, rubs and nudges. They love to sit in your lap, being the focus of your attention. They are natural hunters, favorite pastime of theirs is chasing things and playing fetch. All types of toys intrigue them and they will play with just about anything.
If you share your home with a Siberian, you will never be alone. They will watch TV with you, go to the restroom, underfoot at most times unless someone else has their attention. If you are doing something, they will insist on helping, extending a paw of support.
Siberians also enjoy the company of dogs, other animals, and children. They are fearless and easygoing. Not much disturbs their natural calm nature. They have a high level of intuition and know when they are needed for psychological and moral support.
Nevertheless, Siberians are always happy to help. They stay playful throughout their lives and are rarely mistaken for a couch potato. They are a very happy, loyal and intelligent, and inquisitive companions.
